The portal is Kenya's international business card on the Internet, making it an important part of Kenya's global presence.

The Kenya Portal provides central, non-commercial access to information on Kenya. It bundles the existing Kenyan Web presentations and collections of information in easy-to-use, high-quality link lists with additional comments and is currently available in only one language: English.

The following standards have been drawn up for the development, editing and operation of the Kenya Portal:
